Towards Academic Success: The Impact of Soft Skills on Foreign Language Proficiency among Moroccan University Students at the ENS

According to several studies, the standard of Moroccan students enrolled on university courses in foreign language education is often deemed unsatisfactory. In response to this issue, the Ministry of Higher Education has launched an action plan aimed at improving this situation, focusing in particular on the development of transferable skills. This article explores transferable skills and their fundamental principles in detail. It examines the different types of transferable skills as well as the strategies required to acquire and strengthen them. By highlighting the importance of these skills within the Moroccan university context, the article provides an in-depth overview of the efforts being made to address the challenges relating to students’ proficiency in foreign languages and to promote their academic success.
